In 2005 our congregation had swollen to such proportions that the decision was taken to add extra ‘drinking space’ in the shape of the Vestry

Construction began on a chilly January in 2005. During this period much mud was traipsed through the brewery by our weather hardened builder, whose ears rang to shouts of ‘FEET!!!!’,even the brewery owner was spotted be-wellied with a shovel in his hand, knee deep in concrete, but eventually in the summer of 2005 the building was watertight and all that was required was electrics, painting and decorating and the final fitting of doors, bar fittings and the like.

 

The final space is crisp and clean , perfectly complimenting the original tap room and is suitable for both business and of course pleasure. The extra bar space has allowed us to offer 8 different Church End beers, all from ‘the handpull’, indeed why not try our ‘Coffin’, a tray containing 1/3 of a pint samples (also known as nips) of all 8 available beers.

 

The room plays host to frequent quizzes, both small to medium private and business functions and of course is open Thursday to Sunday simply as a space to sit back and relax with a glass of your favourite Church End. The room also doubles as a place to seat customers for food who are booked onto one of our factual and entertaining brewery tours.
